The MiR250 from Mobile Industrial Robots is a compact autonomous mobile robot platform for internal transport. Its chassis measures 800 x 580 x 300 mm and weighs 94 kg, with a load surface of 800 x 580 mm and payload capacity of 250 kg. Maximum speed is 2.0 m/s, and the robot navigates with two SICK nanoScan3 safety laser scanners front and rear giving 360° protection, two 3D cameras for obstacle detection and eight proximity sensors. A lithium-ion battery gives up to 13 hours runtime at full payload, and fast charging at up to 35 A provides about 2 h 40 min of operation from 10 minutes of charging. It is rated IP21 for indoor use at 5 to 40 °C and is designed to ISO 3691-4, ISO 13849-1 and ANSI/RIA R15.08-1, with 12 safety functions. Top modules mount to the chassis for specific tasks, such as the MiR250 Hook for towing carts, shelf carriers, roller conveyors or custom structures. Applications include transporting materials between production cells, warehouse picking and hospital logistics, managed via MiR Fleet.
