ADAM-5000 Series Ethernet Remote I/O Base System (ADAM-5000/TCP)

The ADAM-5000/TCP is an Ethernet-based data acquisition and control system from Advantech with four I/O slots that accept ADAM-5000 series modules. It combines a 32-bit processor with Modbus/TCP communication, so it can serve as a remote I/O node or a small stand-alone controller. The system supports analog input and output, digital input and output, relay and counter modules in the same chassis, which allows different signal types to be mixed. A built-in web or utility configuration is available, and the unit can be programmed with ISaGRAF or similar tools in some versions. Operating temperature is extended and the unit is mounted on a DIN rail or panel. The base supports redundant power input in some variants. Typical applications are remote monitoring of plant signals, building automation, environmental monitoring and small process control tasks, connecting field signals to SCADA or PLC systems over Ethernet.
