LM-JCW 2/3-inch C-mount industrial lens

The Kowa JC series is a line of compact fixed focal length C-mount lenses for 2/3-inch machine vision sensors, rated for megapixel cameras with pixels down to about 5 µm. Focal lengths are 6, 8, 12, 16, 25, 35 and 50 mm (LM6JC to LM50JC). Taking the LM8JC as an example, it has a manual iris from f/1.4 to f/16, a minimum object distance of 0.1 m, a resolution of 100 lp/mm in the centre and 60 lp/mm at the margin, an M27 x 0.5 filter thread, a 30 mm diameter by 30 mm long body and a weight of about 60 g. Focus and iris rings have locking screws to hold settings against vibration. Kowa also offers related families for higher resolution (JC5M, JC10M), ruggedised vibration-resistant JCM-V versions, and waterproof WP versions. Typical applications are inspection, measurement and code reading with 2/3-inch and smaller sensors in factory automation.
