DataBus PROFIBUS DP Shielded Fieldbus Cable (3079E)

The Belden 3079E is a PROFIBUS DP cable built to meet the electrical requirements of the PROFIBUS standard, with a nominal characteristic impedance of 150 ohms. It uses a single 22 AWG bare copper twisted pair with foam polyolefin insulation, a foil and braid shield for noise immunity, and a violet jacket by convention. The low-capacitance construction supports data rates up to 12 Mbps over the segment lengths defined by PROFIBUS. It connects PLCs, drives, remote I/O and field devices in factory and process automation, in trays and conduit, and is normally terminated with standard PROFIBUS D-sub connectors.
