ETHERLINE PN Cat.5e Industrial Ethernet Cable

ETHERLINE PN Cat.5 is LAPP’s PROFINET Type A industrial Ethernet cable for fixed installation. It uses two pairs of solid AWG22 bare copper conductors with PE insulation arranged in a star-quad, an overall screen of aluminium-laminated foil plus copper braid, and a green PVC outer sheath in the PROFINET colour. Characteristic impedance is 100 Ω and it is designed for 10/100 Mbit/s two-pair transmission to Cat.5e and the industrial cabling standards EN 50173-3 and ISO/IEC 24702. Variants include PN Cat.5e Y (article 2170891, 6.3 mm diameter), a Fast Connect version for insulation-displacement connectors, a TRAY ER version for open cable trays, and a black UV-resistant YY outer-jacket version for outdoor use. Approvals depending on variant include UL CMX/CMG, PLTC and CSA FT-4, and the sheath is flame retardant to IEC 60332-1-2. Besides PROFINET it is suitable for EtherNet/IP and EtherCAT. It is used to wire PLCs, I/O stations, drives and switches in control cabinets and along machines; flexible and drag-chain versions exist as separate ETHERLINE types.
