FSPDB Finger-Safe Power Distribution Block (FSPDB1A)

The FSPDB1A belongs to Mersen’s FSPDB series of UL 1059 recognised finger-safe power distribution blocks. It is a single-pole block with one primary (line) and one secondary (load) opening, rated 175 A with copper or aluminium conductors from 2/0 to 14 AWG (70 to 2.5 mm²). The tin-plated aluminium connector is fully enclosed in a nylon insulating body, so live parts cannot be touched with a finger after wiring, reducing shock risk during maintenance. Mersen lists a standalone short-circuit current rating of 10 kA and up to 100 kA when protected by Class J, T or RK1 fuses up to 200 A, RK5 up to 100 A, Class G up to 60 A or Class CC up to 30 A, which helps panel builders meet UL 508A SCCR requirements. Mounting is on 35 mm DIN rail or by screws, and blocks can be ganged into multi-pole sets with FSPIN1 pins. Typical uses are feeder distribution in industrial control panels, HVAC equipment and machine power distribution.
