Capacitive Sensors
Capacitive Sensors are non-contact proximity devices that detect both metallic and non-metallic targets—including liquids, plastics, glass, powders, and wood—by measuring changes in electrostatic capacitance between the sensor’s electrode and the target material. Frequently utilized for level detection through non-metallic container walls or bulk solid presence sensing, these sensors react to changes in the dielectric constant within their sensing zone. Key hardware features typically include heavy-duty plastic or threaded metal housings, multi-turn sensitivity adjustment potentiometers, integrated status LEDs, EMI-shielded internal circuitry, and IP67/IP68 liquid-tight sealing.
