Ultrasonic Distance Sensors
Ultrasonic Distance Sensors are acoustic sensing instruments that emit high-frequency ultrasonic sound pulses and measure the time-of-flight required for the echo signal to bounce off a target surface and return to the transducer. Because acoustic waves reflect off surfaces regardless of color, transparency, or optical reflectivity, these sensors provide accurate distance measurement and level monitoring for clear liquids, dark materials, and transparent glass or plastics. Key hardware features typically include piezoelectric ceramic transducer discs, integrated temperature-compensation circuits, teach-in programming buttons or wires, status indication LEDs, and rugged PBT or stainless steel housings.
