Quattro 650H four-axis parallel delta robot

The Quattro is a parallel delta robot from Omron, designed for high-speed packaging, food handling and light assembly. It has four arms, which give it a distinctive square-based layout, and 650H refers to the workspace of 650 mm diameter and the high-speed H-type of the model. Compared with a three-arm delta, the four-arm design offers better rotation and payload capabilities, and the robot can carry out several hundred picks per minute depending on the payload and path. The end effector has a rotary axis for orienting product. The robot is generally mounted overhead above a conveyor and combined with vision for tracking conveyor movement. The Omron controller supports conveyor tracking and the robot is programmed through Sysmac Studio or the Omron ACE software. Stainless steel and washdown versions exist for food and pharmaceutical hygiene. Typical applications include bakery and confectionery packing, pharmaceutical handling, consumer goods packaging and electronics.
