YF003N high-speed delta picking robot

The YF003N is Kawasaki’s ultra-high-speed delta (parallel link) robot within the Y series of picking robots. It has four axes: three parallel arms for X-Y-Z motion and a rotary fourth axis with ±360° range for part orientation. Maximum payload is 3 kg. The working area is 1,300 mm in diameter (a 900 mm diameter version is also offered) with a 300 or 500 mm vertical stroke, giving it a wider motion range than other Y-series models. Repeatability is ±0.1 mm and ±0.1°, and maximum linear speed reaches 10,000 mm/s, with a standard pick cycle time of 0.27 s at 1 kg and 0.45 s at 3 kg over a 25 x 305 x 25 mm path. The arm weighs 145 kg and is mounted overhead in a frame. It is IP65 equivalent as standard with IP67 as an option, and it is controlled by Kawasaki’s E-series controller. Typical applications are conveyor tracking and picking of food, pharmaceutical and consumer goods, tray and carton loading, sorting and small-part assembly.
