ECD-IV compact electronic vacuum ejector

The Aventics ECD is a compact electronic vacuum ejector used to generate vacuum from compressed air for gripping with suction cups. The ejector integrates a multi-stage ejector nozzle, valves for vacuum on and off, and electronics for vacuum monitoring and optionally air saving. Using an integrated vacuum sensor, the electronics can switch the ejector off once the setpoint is reached, which saves compressed air and reduces noise. Parameters are set by buttons or through IO-Link in some versions. Blow-off functions release the part quickly. The housing is small, permitting installation close to the gripper, which shortens response time. Typical applications are pick and place, packaging, handling of sheets and parts in electronics and automotive manufacturing, and robot end-of-arm tooling. The product is now sold under the Emerson brand after Aventics was acquired.
