LSH 3 Integrated Dresspack System for KUKA KR Quintec

LSH 3 is the third generation of the LSH dresspack guidance system developed by LEONI’s industrial solutions business, now part of BizLink. It guides and tensions the robot’s umbilical (the hose package carrying welding, control, pneumatic and coolant lines) along the upper arm so that the dresspack follows axis 4 to 6 movements without hanging loose or striking the robot or fixtures. Compared with earlier designs it eliminates many moving parts and keeps the dresspack within the robot’s footprint, which removes common collision points. The retraction element is maintenance-free and protected by an aluminium cover; the standard extension length is 350 mm, an optional rotating pivot bearing at the front supports extreme wrist motions, and it accepts corrugated or smooth yellow tube umbilicals of several nominal diameters. It mounts on axis 3 interfaces, is offered for new robots of any brand and size as well as retrofits, and allows considerably faster dresspack replacement. Typical uses are spot and arc welding, sealing and handling robots, including large KUKA KR QUANTEC-class arms in automotive body shops.
