FC9052 Dual-Channel EtherCAT PCI Express Interface Card

The FC9052 is an EtherCAT interface card from Beckhoff for PCI Express slots in a PC. It has two Ethernet ports and is used as an EtherCAT master interface under TwinCAT, where it supports real-time operation with hardware timestamps. The card is based on a modern Ethernet controller chip and can run in a PC with the TwinCAT software to control EtherCAT slaves such as I/O terminals, servo drives and other devices. Two channels allow operation of two independent EtherCAT lines or cable redundancy. The card is fitted in a standard PCIe slot, usually low-profile friendly, and delivers cycle times in the sub-millisecond range depending on the system. Typical applications are PC-based control systems, test benches, motion control systems and automation where an industrial PC acts as a controller.
