OmniClient multi-touch panel PC

OmniClient is a family of scalable widescreen panel PCs from Kontron designed to run visualisation and real-time control on one system. It is offered in three 16:9 display sizes, 15.6, 18.5 and 21.5 inches, with a seamless glass front and projected-capacitive multi-touch that supports gestures and can be operated through the glass surface, sealed to IP65 at the front. The original platform uses 2nd-generation Intel Core i5 or i7 processors, and Kontron offered a range of interface options including WLAN and Bluetooth, with drivers for Windows 7 and Windows 8 era operating systems. Outline and mounting drawings are provided for panel installation in each size. A rugged medical variant was also marketed. Typical applications are machine and plant operator stations, HMI/SCADA clients and soft-PLC plus HMI combinations where one PC replaces a separate controller and terminal.
