Product description

The MX80L is a miniature positioning stage from Parker’s MX80 family, built with a brushless linear servo motor and a linear encoder, which makes it a direct-drive device without screws or belts. This provides high speed, high acceleration and stable positioning with no backlash or wear in a mechanical drive train. The stage has a compact profile with a small footprint, a crossed-roller or linear bearing guide, and travel lengths in the tens of millimetres to over 100 mm depending on variant. The encoder gives resolution in the sub-micron range, and the stage is controlled by a servo drive such as those from Parker’s Aries or Compax lines. Typical applications include semiconductor inspection, laboratory automation, optical alignment, electronics assembly, medical device testing and high-speed small part positioning. Repeatability is at the micron level.
