m850 and MCS series synchronous AC motors

Lenze offers two closely related synchronous servo motor families. The m850 covers 0.11 to 9.2 kW and 0.18 to 67 Nm and is positioned as part of Lenze’s smart servo axis with i950 and i700 cabinet servo inverters. The MCS series covers 0.25 to 15.8 kW and 0.8 to 86 Nm in B5 flange mounting, with high overload capacity for large angular accelerations. Both are permanent-magnet synchronous motors with plug connectors for quick installation and service. Feedback options include resolver, absolute value encoders and a digital absolute encoder for One Cable Technology (OCT), in which power and encoder signals share one hybrid cable to the drive; MCS also offers incremental encoders. Holding brakes are available as options. Both families are optimised for direct mounting to Lenze g500 bevel and helical, g700 and g800 planetary gearboxes. Configuration is done through Lenze’s Product Finder. Typical applications are positioning and synchronised axes in packaging machines, handling systems, printing and converting lines and intralogistics.
