SIMOTICS S permanent magnet synchronous motor series

SIMOTICS S is the Siemens range of permanent-magnet synchronous servo motors for highly dynamic motion control. The compact 1FK7 series offers low inertia and rated torques from under 1 Nm up to about 100 Nm, and the 1FT7 series is a higher performance line with water cooling options. Motors are supplied with a range of encoder systems, including absolute encoders with DRIVE-CLiQ interface, and optional holding brakes. Their high overload capacity gives short acceleration times. They are normally connected to SINAMICS S120 multi-axis drives, with power and signal wiring through MOTION-CONNECT cables. Typical applications are machine tools, packaging machines, printing machines and handling systems requiring precise positioning.
