Spiroplan W30 right-angle worm gear units

The Spiroplan W series is a range of right-angle gear units from SEW-Eurodrive, and the W30 is the smallest size, aimed at low-power drives. The gearing uses a worm and a wheel with a special tooth form that offers a better efficiency than a conventional worm gear unit with a similar ratio, and a quiet, smooth operation. The gear unit housing has a flat, simple outer profile that is easy to clean and to mount in many positions, and it can be supplied with a hollow shaft, a solid shaft or a flange. It is lubricated for life with synthetic oil. The unit can be combined directly with a DR.. motor or a servo motor. It is typically used on light conveyors, handling equipment, packaging machines and small automation systems where installation space is limited and a right-angle output is needed.
