NMRV 050 universal worm gear reducers

The NMRV series is a widely used line of universal worm gear reducers, and size 050 has a centre distance of 50 mm between the worm and wheel shafts. The housing is die-cast aluminium, the worm is hardened and ground steel, and the wheel is bronze, which gives quiet, shock-tolerant operation and compact right-angle geometry. Reduction ratios typically range from about 7:1 to 100:1 in single stage, and the unit accepts standard IEC motor flanges through B5 or B14 input connections, or a solid input shaft. Output is a hollow shaft or solid shaft, and mounting can be by foot, flange or torque arm. The gearboxes are lubricated for life with synthetic oil in many versions. Output torque for size 050 is moderate and suited to light and medium duty. Typical applications include conveyors, packaging machines, mixers, hoists, gates, food processing equipment and general machinery where self-locking or high ratio in small space is useful.
