UR18.SM0-11142512 ultrasonic sensor

The UR18 is a series of cylindrical M18 ultrasonic sensors from Baumer, which measure distance or detect objects without contact using sound waves. Typically UR18 sensors come with switching or analog outputs, programmable using a teach-in and have a range from tens of millimetres up to about one metre. The housing is nickel-plated brass with a plastic transducer, and the sensors are sealed to IP67, with a M12 connector. Ultrasonic sensing is independent of colour and transparency and works well with liquids, glass and plastics. Typical applications are level monitoring of liquids and bulk goods, measuring the thickness or height of objects, detecting films and bottles, and distance control in packaging and material handling.
