DOSIC is an inline flow sensor from SICK that measures liquid flow with the ultrasonic transit-time principle. Because the measuring tube is free of moving parts and obstructions, pressure loss is low and the sensor can be cleaned in place, which is why SICK promotes it for hygienic applications. The housing is made of stainless steel, and process connections are hygienic or threaded types in several nominal sizes such as the 15 and 25 sizes seen in the FUM-H datasheets. Outputs include switching, analogue and IO-Link signals depending on the variant. Typical uses are flow monitoring and dosing control in food and beverage, pharmaceutical, cleaning and coolant systems.
