VEGAPULS 64 radar continuous level sensor

The VEGAPULS 64 is a radar level sensor from VEGA that operates at around 80 GHz, giving a tightly focused beam suited to continuous level measurement of liquids. The narrow beam angle lets it measure in tanks with internals, agitators, nozzles and narrow vessels with less interference, and the high frequency gives good performance in the presence of condensation, foam and build-up. Antenna options include small lens antennas and hygienic or encapsulated versions, with process fittings for threaded or flange connections. Output is typically 4 to 20 mA HART, with digital options such as Profibus or Modbus and Bluetooth setup available. Typical applications include storage tanks, process vessels, chemical and petrochemical plants, water and wastewater, and food and pharmaceutical processes.
