MOTIONLINE continuous-flex cable series

Nexans offers cables for moving applications under the MOTIONLINE name, intended for use in energy chains and other continuous-flex installations. These cables use finely stranded copper conductors, specially selected insulation and sheath materials such as PUR or TPE, and optimised lay-up and shielding to withstand millions of bend cycles with small bending radii. The range typically includes power cables, control cables, servo and motor cables, signal and data cables including Industrial Ethernet and fieldbus, and hybrid designs. Jackets resist oil, abrasion, hydrolysis and coolants, and halogen-free and flame retardant options are offered. Cable types are rated by cycles, travel speed and bend radius, which should be matched to the drag chain design. Typical applications include machine tools, robots, handling systems, packaging machines, cranes and automated warehouses.
