SKINTOP MS-M IP68 nickel-plated brass cable gland

SKINTOP MS-M is LAPP’s standard metric cable gland in nickel-plated brass. It uses a polyamide clamping insert with flexible lamellae that grip the cable centrally and provide strain relief, a CR sealing insert and an NBR O-ring on the thread. Sizes range from M12 x 1.5 to M110 x 2, covering cable diameters from about 3.5 mm up to 98 mm, and PLUS versions accept the next larger cable range on the same thread. Sealing is IP68 at 10 bar, with IP69 on sizes M12 to M63 and NEMA Type 1, 4X, 6 and 12 ratings. Large sizes from M75 use a double-lamella cage to prevent the cable levering the gland. Temperature range is -40 to +100 °C fixed and -25 to +100 °C for moving cables. Approvals include UL, VDE and DNV up to M75, and a lead-free brass version (suffix LF) is available. Metric threads follow EN 60423. The MSR-M variant adds a reduced sealing insert. Typical uses are cable entries into control cabinets, motor terminal boxes, junction boxes and machine enclosures exposed to oil, coolant or wash-down.
