UNI Dicht IP68 metallic cable gland system

The UNI Dicht system from Pflitsch is a range of cable glands made of metal, such as nickel-plated brass or stainless steel, designed for sealing cables entering enclosures and machine housings. A distinguishing feature is its multi-layer sealing insert, a flexible element that adapts to a range of cable diameters and creates a tight seal, rated to IP68 and often also IP69K. The gland also provides strain relief, and a version with EMC contact can bond the cable shield to the housing for electromagnetic compatibility. Threads are available in metric and other standards, and some versions have a lock nut and seal. The sealing insert withstands oil, coolants and other media, and the metallic body is robust against mechanical stress and temperature. Typical applications include machine tools, robotics, process equipment, food and pharmaceutical machinery, outdoor cabinets and rail vehicles.
