Genesis Series Enclosure Air Conditioner

Genesis is the closed-loop enclosure air conditioner line originally sold under the McLean brand and now marketed as nVent HOFFMAN. The units cool sealed electrical enclosures by recirculating internal air across an evaporator, keeping dust, oil mist and moisture away from drives, PLCs and power supplies. The range includes Genesis Top-Mount Indoor units such as the MHB11 (2,200 and 4,000 BTU/h) and HB16 (8,000 BTU/h) series, Genesis Compact Indoor side-mount units (M17 series) and larger side-mount models, in 115 V, 230 V and 460 V versions. Housings are painted steel, typically grey, with stainless steel options, and are rated to maintain NEMA Type 12 and related enclosure ratings when properly installed. Units use an electronic controller with adjustable setpoint and alarm contacts, and top-mount designs keep condensate away from the electrical equipment below. Typical applications are control cabinets in machine shops, steel mills, food and beverage plants, and outdoor-adjacent industrial areas where ambient temperatures exceed what fans or heat exchangers can handle.
