Excelon Plus Modular FRL Combination (BL84-401G)

The Excelon Plus series from Norgren is a modular compressed air preparation system in which filters, regulators and lubricators are connected using a clamp-style joining system. The BL84 designation refers to a combination unit, and the code BL84-401G appears to denote a filter-regulator-lubricator configuration with a 1/2 inch G thread. The filter removes particles and liquid water, typically to 5 or 40 micron, with an automatic or manual drain. The regulator controls downstream pressure with high flow capacity, and the lubricator adds a fine oil mist for equipment that needs it. Bowls are polycarbonate or metal, sometimes with guards, and gauges can be mounted. The modular concept permits additional components, such as lockout valves, soft start valves and filters, to be added. Typical applications include pneumatic machinery, tool supply, packaging and general factory compressed air systems.
