R2000 2D photoelectric laser scanner

The R2000 is a 2D laser scanner from Pepperl+Fuchs that measures distance with pulse ranging technology (PRT), a time-of-flight method. It provides full 360 degree scanning in a plane with an angular resolution that is adjustable and a scanning frequency of up to about 50 Hz. The measuring range is up to tens of metres for reflective targets, and the sensor offers good accuracy independent of the target colour. It communicates by Ethernet, providing a data stream of distance and, optionally, intensity values, with an open interface and drivers for ROS. The housing is rated for industrial use, and the scanner includes a laser class 1 emitter for eye safety. It is a measuring scanner and not a safety rated device. Typical applications include navigation of automated guided vehicles, collision avoidance support, object detection, crane and port monitoring, and positioning in logistics.
