QC-110 master and tool changer assembly

The QC-110 is a robotic tool changer from ATI Industrial Automation, consisting of a master plate for the robot arm and a tool plate for the end effector. It belongs to the QC series, which uses a locking mechanism operated by compressed air with a locking collar and balls to hold the plates together securely, even if air pressure is lost. The QC-110 is one of the smaller sizes in the range and is suited to light payloads. It is available with direct mounting patterns for many robots and includes air passages and a signal module option, allowing electrical modules to be fitted for sensors, valves and communications. Typical applications are robotic assembly, material handling, machine tending, and light welding where several grippers or tools need to be swapped within a program.
