SINAMICS S120 single motor module drive amplifier

The Single Motor Module is the power unit of the SINAMICS S120 drive system that controls one motor. It takes its supply from a common DC link fed by a Line Module, and it supplies a three-phase output for synchronous or induction motors, with the booksize format covering rated currents from 3 A to 200 A in the standard range, and the chassis format going to higher currents. The module is connected to a Control Unit by DRIVE-CLiQ, which also connects to motor encoders, and it supports safety functions such as Safe Torque Off. Servo, vector and U/f control modes are selectable. The architecture allows several axes to share energy through the DC link. It is applied in machine tools, printing machines, packaging lines, and other multi-axis machines.
