MicroHAWK MV-40 smart camera

The MicroHAWK MV-40 is the industrial top model of the MicroHAWK MV smart camera family developed by Microscan, now part of Omron. It measures only 25 x 45 x 45 mm and weighs 68 g, in an IP65/67 aluminium housing with M12 connectors for power and Ethernet. Sensor options are 752 x 480 (0.34 MP, 52 fps), 1280 x 960 (1.2 MP, 40 fps) and 2592 x 1944 colour (5 MP, 5 fps), with an 800 MHz processor. Unlike the fixed-focus MV-20 and MV-30, the MV-40 has software-adjustable liquid-lens autofocus from 50 to 300 mm (40 to 150 mm on the UHD version). Built-in lighting comprises inner white and red LEDs plus eight optional high-output outer LEDs in red, white, blue or IR. Communication includes Ethernet TCP/IP, EtherNet/IP, PROFINET and RS-232, with two inputs and three outputs; supply is 4.75 to 30 V DC or 24 V passive PoE. It is programmed with AutoVISION or Visionscape software for presence checks, measurement, OCR and 1D/2D code reading in electronics, medical and packaging production.
