BI2-M12-AD4X inductive proximity sensor

The BI2-M12-AD4X is a Turck inductive proximity sensor in a threaded M12 barrel housing. It has a rated sensing range of 2 mm for flush mounting and is a two-wire DC device with normally open output, operating from about 10 to 65 V DC. The housing is nickel plated brass and the sensing face is plastic, with a cable output. Inductive sensors detect metal targets without contact, giving a wear-free, reliable switching signal that tolerates dust, oil and vibration, and the device carries a status LED. Flush mounting means that the sensor can be installed level with surrounding metal. The IP67 housing suits typical machine environments. Typical applications include position detection on cylinders and slides, end-of-travel sensing, counting of metal parts, machine tool and conveyor monitoring. A two-wire sensor is wired in series with the load, so it needs minimal wiring but requires attention to residual current.
