E2E-X4MD1 cylindrical inductive proximity sensor

The E2E-X4MD1 is an inductive proximity sensor from Omron’s E2E range, in the M12 threaded barrel format. The M and D codes also typically signal an M12 connector or pre-wired cable variant. The sensor detects metal targets without contact, with a stainless or nickel-plated brass body and a plastic sensing face. It has an indicator LED, operates on 12 to 24 VDC, and is rated IP67 for dust and water ingress. Inductive sensors of this type are used for position detection, counting, and presence checks of metal parts in machine tools, assembly lines, conveyors and packaging machinery.
