CM18-08BPP-EW1 capacitive proximity sensor

The CM18-08BPP-EW1 is a capacitive proximity sensor from the SICK CM series, with an M18 threaded housing and a nominal sensing distance of 8 mm. It detects both metallic and non-metallic materials such as plastics, glass, liquids and powders, by sensing a change in capacitance, and the sensing distance can be adjusted using a potentiometer. It has a PNP output and a plug connection. The sensor is used for level detection through container walls, detecting products in packaging, and counting objects on conveyors. It has an LED indicator for switching status and is supplied with 10 to 30 V DC. Its robust housing makes it suitable for machine building, food and packaging applications.
