Heavy Duty Connectors (HDC) Series

The Heavy Duty Connectors (HDC) series from TE Connectivity is a range of rectangular multi-pin connectors with metal or reinforced plastic housings, intended for harsh industrial environments. Hoods and bases accept interchangeable inserts that carry power contacts, signal contacts, coax or pneumatic modules, so one housing can combine several functions in a single mating. Contacts are available in crimp, screw and cage clamp termination, and housings are locked with levers or screws and offer protection ratings up to IP65 or higher when mated. Housing sizes cover different pin counts and current ratings, and the construction suits frequent mating cycles and exposure to vibration, dust and moisture. Typical applications include machine tools, robotics, automation cells, packaging machinery, rail and transport equipment, and power electronics where a quick disconnect of a cable bundle is needed.
