HEAVYCON STANDARD modular connector hood and base

HEAVYCON is the heavy-duty rectangular connector system from Phoenix Contact, built around a modular concept. A hood and a base, or a housing with an insert, accept a choice of contact modules for power, signal, data, pneumatic or coaxial lines in a single connector. The Standard series uses die-cast aluminium or plastic housings with locking levers or screws, suitable for harsh industrial conditions and protection degrees such as IP65 or higher when mated. Connection techniques include screw, crimp and push-in. The modular approach lets users combine the number and type of contacts they need and speeds up the disconnection of machines and equipment for transport and servicing. Typical applications include machine and plant construction, robots, tool changers, conveyors and wind or rail technology, wherever a robust multi-pin interface between assemblies is required.
