GWConnect Heavy Duty Connector series

GWconnect is the heavy-duty industrial connector line marketed by Molex, which entered this market by acquiring the heavy-duty connector business of Westec s.r.l. of Milan in 2014, for power, control and signal connections on machinery, robots, electrical panels and control equipment. The system follows the familiar modular rectangular format: inserts in sizes from 3A up to 48B are combined with single-lever or double-lever hoods and bulkhead, surface-mount or coupler housings, with top or side cable entry and protective covers. Ratings range from 250 V/10 A up to 830 V/80 A depending on insert, with screw, crimp, spring-clamp and push-in termination options. Crimp contacts are offered stamped (10 A) or machined (10, 16 and 40 A) with gold, silver or tin plating. Housings achieve IP66 or IP67, and IP69K versions are available for frequent wash-down. The range is completed by IP68 and IP66 cable glands, blanking plugs, DIN-rail mounting kits and crimping and extraction tools. Typical uses are modular machine wiring, robot cells, packaging lines and transport equipment where cables must be disconnected quickly for transport or service.
