Precision Globoidal Cam Indexer (BS Series)

A globoidal cam indexer converts continuous rotation of an input shaft into intermittent rotary motion. A hardened and ground cam drives a turret fitted with cam followers, and the cam profile defines acceleration and dwell, giving low-vibration indexing. Preloaded followers remove backlash and give high repeatability without sensors. Bettinelli builds such tables with a hollow center and flange mounting so cabling and tooling can pass through, driven by a motor and gearbox. They are used on rotary assembly machines, packaging, pharmaceutical and electronics lines for station-to-station transfer.
