Roller Gear Index Drive Table (601RGD)

CAMCO roller gear drive indexers use a barrel cam on the input shaft meshing with a turret fitted with roller cam followers. As the input turns continuously, the turret advances through a defined motion curve followed by a dwell, giving precise, smooth indexing with preloaded followers and no backlash. The housing is iron, the cams and bearings are hardened and ground, and the unit is oil lubricated. Station count, index angle and dwell are chosen to suit the cycle. Applications are rotary assembly machines, packaging, bottling and electronics assembly.
