BIF-V precision ground ball screw assembly

The BIF series from THK is a family of precision ball screws with a preloaded nut and standardised dimensions, and BIF-V is a variant in this family. Ground thread shafts provide accurate lead and smooth movement, while the ball recirculation method in the nut allows a compact design. A ball screw changes rotary motion to linear motion with high efficiency, low friction and good stiffness, so it needs less motor torque than a lead screw and gives accurate positioning. The nut is offered in a preloaded form to reduce axial play, and end journals are typically machined to fit standard support bearings. Typical applications include machine tools, semiconductor and electronics manufacturing equipment, inspection systems, injection molding electric axes and industrial robots.
