BSS series high-speed compact precision ball screw

NSK’s BSS series is a family of compact precision ball screws that use a high-lead, small-diameter design for fast feed rates with small installation space. A ball screw converts rotary motion from a motor into linear motion through recirculating balls between the screw shaft and nut, giving low friction, high efficiency, and accurate positioning. The BSS nut typically uses an end-cap recirculation arrangement that allows a high lead relative to screw diameter, supporting high rotational and linear speeds with reduced noise. Screws are ground or rolled to different accuracy grades with options for preload, and can be supplied with machined ends to match bearing supports. Lubrication with NSK K1 sealed lubrication unit can extend maintenance intervals. Typical applications include semiconductor and electronics manufacturing equipment, machine tools, medical devices, packaging machinery and small automation axes.
