ÖLFLEX ROBOT 900 P is LAPP’s unscreened PUR control cable designed for combined bending and torsional loads on articulated and gantry robots. Fine or extra-fine bare copper conductors are insulated with TPE and the cores are twisted in layers to distribute torsional stress. The black PUR outer sheath is abrasion and oil resistant and flame retardant. LAPP rates the cable for torsion of ±360° per metre and up to 5 million torsion cycles, and for power chain travel distances up to 10 m. Minimum bending radius is 15 times the outer diameter in flexing use. Temperature range is -40 to +80 °C flexing and -50 to +80 °C fixed. Small cross-sections up to 0.34 mm² are rated 48 V AC for signals, while 0.5 mm² and above are rated 300/500 V. Constructions range from 2 x 0.34 mm² (about 5 mm diameter) up to 3 x 35 mm²; a screened sister type, ÖLFLEX ROBOT 900 DP, is available for EMC-sensitive circuits. Typical uses are robot dresspacks along axes 1 to 6, rotary tables, machine tools and automated handling equipment.
