PSR-MC40 safety relay unit

The PSR-MC40 belongs to the PSR safety relay range from Phoenix Contact, designed for monitoring emergency stop buttons, safety gates and other safety sensors in machine safety circuits. It provides several safe enabling current paths with positively guided relay contacts, and a configurable start behaviour, either manual or automatic with monitoring. Diagnostic LEDs show the operating state, and the compact housing mounts on a DIN rail with pluggable screw or push-in terminal blocks. The device operates from a 24 V DC supply and can reach the highest safety categories according to the relevant standards when correctly wired, typically up to SIL 3 and performance level e. Typical applications include protecting hazardous areas on machine tools, presses, robot cells and packaging machinery, where a simple standalone safety function is required without a programmable safety controller.
