W22 NEMA and IEC general purpose severe-duty induction motors

The W22 is WEG’s general purpose and severe duty three-phase induction motor line, offered in IEC and NEMA frame sizes. Cast iron frame versions provide a rugged housing, and the motors are designed for high efficiency, with many models meeting IE3 or IE4 levels in IEC markets and NEMA Premium in North America. Features include low noise and vibration, a multi-class insulation system suitable for inverter duty, sealed bearings or grease nipples, and protection ratings such as IP55 or higher. The series is available with options like brake, encoder, forced ventilation and special paint. Typical applications include pumps, fans, compressors, conveyors, mixers and machine tools, in industries such as oil and gas, water, mining and food.
