Super-E premium efficient three-phase industrial motors

The Super-E is a line of premium efficiency three-phase induction motors from Baldor-Reliance, a brand of ABB. The motors are designed to the NEMA Premium efficiency level, which meets or exceeds the efficiency mandated for general purpose motors in North America. They use cast iron or rolled steel frames with TEFC enclosures, copper windings with insulation suited to inverter operation up to a defined limit and high quality bearings. Ratings span fractional horsepower up to several hundreds of horsepower, in standard NEMA frames. The motors are suitable for use on variable frequency drives, and offer features such as inverter-duty options, shaft grounding rings and different mounting arrangements. Typical applications are pumps, fans, compressors, conveyors and general industrial machinery where continuous operation makes energy savings valuable.
