The DR.. series is a modular line of three-phase AC squirrel-cage motors from SEW-Eurodrive, covering the DRS (IE1), DRE (IE2), DRU and DRN (IE3) types and the IE4 variants. The motors are available in frame sizes from approximately 71 to 315 and in power ratings from fractions of a kilowatt up to several hundred kilowatts, with 2-, 4-, 6- and 8-pole options. They are designed to be combined with the manufacturer’s helical, bevel, parallel-shaft and worm gear units, with brakes, encoders and decentralised MOVIMOT inverters as options. The housing uses cast aluminium or cast iron according to size, and thermal protection by temperature sensors is a common option. Typical uses are conveyors, hoists, pumps, fans and general machine drives in manufacturing and logistics.
