BF Series Vibratory Bowl Feeder Drive Base

The BF series from Afag is a family of drive bases for vibratory bowl feeders. A bowl feeder consists of a bowl with tooling that orients small parts and a drive unit that vibrates the bowl so that parts move up a spiral track. The BF drive base uses an electromagnetic drive with leaf springs to create the vibration, and the amplitude is adjusted by an external controller, so the feed rate can be set to suit the part. The bases are available in different sizes to carry bowls of various diameters and weights. They are designed for continuous duty and quiet operation, with a rigid housing and mounting feet to be attached to a table or frame. Typical applications are feeding of screws, caps, pins, electronic components and plastic parts into assembly machines, packaging machines and medical device lines.
