ZEL Series Vibratory Bowl Feeder Base Unit

The ZEL is a step feeder in the Weber feeding systems range, used to supply screws and other fasteners to automatic screwdriving heads. Rather than a vibratory bowl, a step feeder lifts parts out of a hopper with a stepped moving blade and passes them to a track, giving quiet, gentle and gradual feeding with little part damage. Weber, a German maker of automatic screwdriving and feeding technology, also lists a ZEL480 variant for large screws. Feeders of this type deliver screws to a rail or hose that leads to the screwdriving head and are matched to the screw size, so different screw diameters need the right feeder variant. Typical applications include electronics, automotive and appliance assembly, where screws are fed to automated or handheld workstations.
