Power Moller PM500FE Series Brushless DC Roller

The PM500FE is Itoh Denki’s standard 50 mm diameter brushless motor-driven roller (MDR) for conveyors handling light to medium loads, with a load capacity of up to 300 kg per conveyor zone. The brushless motor and gear reducer are built into the roller, while the drive electronics are kept in a separate driver card (for example the HB-510 hybrid board or CB-016), which sets speed, acceleration and braking and allows the motor to be replaced without the controller. It runs on low-voltage 24 V DC and offers low power consumption compared with continuously running line-shaft conveyors. Itoh Denki offers the PM500FE in IP54 and IP65 versions, a low-temperature version for cold rooms and freezers, and a version with a mechanical brake for inclines. Many gear ratios give speeds from slow accumulation to fast transport, and the roller can be specified with grooves, sprockets or poly-V heads. Typical uses are zero-pressure accumulation conveyors, transfers and merges in warehouses, distribution centres and production logistics.
