The name combines two Eaton families. The 9PX is a double-conversion online UPS in rack or tower form, from about 700 VA to above 11 kVA, with extendable runtime through external battery modules and network cards for monitoring. Eaton’s DIN-rail UPS modules are a separate line for control cabinets, supplying 24 V DC with a battery module. As the 9PX is the closest real series it is used here. Uses are server rooms, control rooms and edge computing.
